University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology is launching a new undergraduate multidisciplinary program for one of the most exciting and fastest growing industries of the new millennium – digital gaming industry. Creative and lucrative careers draw young graduates from a variety of disciplines, as excellent employment opportunities are on the rise across the globe for artists, writers, actors, animators, sound engineers, designers and programmers with a passion for gaming.

The BSc program in Game Design and Development (GDD) has been jointly created by the SSST’s Sarajevo Film Academy and the Department of Computer Science, in cooperation with one of the most successful gaming studio in this part of the Europe – Primetime Production. The program offers courses covering directing, storytelling, editing, cinematography for games,  programming, digital animation, 2D/3D modeling, and other.

With our new program (BSc) in Game Design and Development, University SSST once again takes the lead in becoming the only university in the region to offer a three-year undergraduate degree in gaming. Our multidisciplinary approach and practical work with experienced game designers and developers, through partnership with Primetime Production, is created to meet both the technical and the artistic challenges of this fast-paced industry. Throughout the course of the program, students will move between disciplines – through classes in directing, cinematography, body movement, psychology of characters, interlaced with algorithms, applied programming and computer graphics – towards a singular goal, the creation of a unique world, where imagination and technical skill create a final, competitive product.
