Sarajevo Film Academy welcomes director and scriptwriter Una Gunjak for a week-long Directing Workshop in the Spring Semester.
With her impressive film story and incredible success in a short period of time, Una Gunjak went on to establish herself as one of the most internationally accomplished young film directors from the region. Studied in Italy and UK, she obtained Master Degree in Editing at the UK National Film and TV School. Una has extensively worked as editor on features and documentaries, before focusing on writing and directing. Her short film The Chicken (2014) premiered at the Cannes Film Festival Critics' Week, won the European Film Award for Best Short Film 2014 and screened in the International Competition of Sundance Film Festival and New Director, New Films in New York. It went on to screen at 270 festivals around the globe, winning more than 70 awards. Her short film Salamat from Germany (2017), made within the initiative Lebanon Factory, premiered at the Directors' Fortnight 2017. Una's first feature project, ALFA, supported by Creative Europe MEDIA Desk was selected for the Cannes Film Festival Cinéfondation Residence, Artists-In-Residence Program of the Vienna Museum Quarters and has won the Producers Network Award at the When East Meets West Co-Production Forum.
